SPEFL-SC is a not-for-profit organization formed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The council has been promoted by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The SPEFL-SC fills the gap between the skill ecosystem and industrial demand. SPEFL-SC plays a crucial role in bringing together all the stakeholders, including industry, labour, and academia, to make sure that the industry is equipped with skilled and effective workforce.

How to get Sports Skill NSQF Level certificate in India 

Step 1: Choose a Skill Sector and Qualification

In the sports field, qualifications are usually under the Sports, Physical Education, Fitness, and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC) — a recognized sector skill council under NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation). Popular NSQF-certified sports skill courses include:

• Fitness Trainer (Level 3/4/5)
• Sports Coach (Level 4/5/6)
• Yoga Instructor (Level 4/5)
• Physical Activity Trainer for Children (Level 3/4)
• Sports Masseur (Level 4)

Step 2: Find an Approved Training Partner (ATP)

Enroll in an NSQF-aligned program through an NSDC-affiliated or SPEFL-SC recognized training partner. Some common ones include:

• Educord International Pvt. Ltd. (International Health and Fitness Association (IHFA)

Step 3: Complete the Training Program

The course will cover practical and theoretical content based on the NSQF competency guidelines. You’ll learn:

• Technical Skills (e.g., sports drills, strength training techniques)
• Soft Skills (e.g., communication, leadership)
• Safety and First Aid Knowledge
• Assessment and Evaluation Methods

Step 4: Assessment by SSC (Sector Skill Council)

Once training is complete, you’ll undergo a practical and theoretical assessment conducted by a certified SPEFL-SC assessor or other relevant SSCs.

Step 5: Certification

After successfully passing the assessment, you’ll receive an NSQF Level Certificate with:

• Qualification Pack (QP) and National Occupational Standard (NOS) codes
• Government of India recognition

Educord (IHFA - India) collect your information and documents as requirement for NSQF assessment and proceed to SPEFL SC (Sports Physical Education, Fitness and Leisure Sector Council , New Delhi), SPEFL SC assogn assessment date with Skill India Portal SIP.

Once your assessment will complete you will get NSQF Level Certificate with IHFA Crediatials.
